I have always had this love-hate relationship with ‘studying’ since young. Recently, however, I graduated from an A-Level College in the U.K. and received a conditional offer from King’s College London (QS 2020 World University ranking: 33th). When I enrolled as a 9th Grader in Kang Chiao International School, I realised the deficiency in English teaching in Taiwan’s civil education, furthermore, the pain of studying in a dogmatic setting, and the importance of English as a international language. In a short timespan of 2 years in American-style education, I managed to figured the vital and efficient ways of learning English, and surpassed, in terms of English level, many graduates in Taiwan (IELTS 7.5 / TOEIC 920+). Afterwards, I went to the U.K. in 11th Grade on my own. Then, I was lucky to the opportunity to interact with a variety of people academically. It strengthened my communication skills and hence, the abilities to teach various students with various personality. I hope, sincerely, through my experience with English, and through this platform, I can make English a friend of yours.
