Hello! I am a native English speaker born in the UK. I have been an Amazing Talker tutor for nearly 2 years and through that; I have met new people from different backgrounds and cultures who I've had the pleasure to teach (From lawyers to Lecturers; Children to teenagers). I enjoy helping a variety of people who want to improve or begin to learn English. I do not hold a TEFL certificate however, I am currently at University studying criminology where I have helped many of my peers in essay writing, checking their grammar as well as helping my friends abroad in preparing for their oral exams. I have been doing so since my sixth form days. Apart from that, I am a kindhearted, patient and an extremely talkative person meaning that we can discuss many interests that you have which will allow me to get to know you before we start our lessons. It's important for me that you feel safe and comfortable during our lessons but most importantly, to have fun. I have been an amazing talker tutor for nearly a year. I have taught a multitude of students from beginners-professional which has helped me adapt my teaching methods based on the students weaknesses and strengths. My lessons have catered to children all the way to adults when helping with conversational English, checking their written English work (Essays, reports etc) and basic grammar. In other words, whatever your level, weakness and strengths are, I will be able to help you achieve your goal. My teaching style is fun and interactive! the sessions will be based around what you want to achieve and English that is relevant to you. If that means you would like to start with the basics then that's where we will start. We will have fun lessons but they will be focused on your goals! Some examples include small talk, enhancing your listening skills and making sure you understand the basics. Our sessions will be broken down into sections in order to make sure you don't feel overwhelmed. I love incorporating visuals while teaching in order to build word association. By using visuals to promote word association, you will be able to make stronger connections between ideas and new words. The progress of my students is very important to me which is why I set small homework tasks such as to read small English books or a section, in order to make sure they are constantly on track and progressing. All the materials will be emailed to you before our lesson so that you have enough time to print them out and know what your lesson will be for today. Finally, when it comes to audio/video communication I mostly do video calls as it's important to see whether or not you understand the material. Other than that, I am a kind and understanding person. I will make sure the lessons are structured to fit your needs. I teach students who want to prep for interviews, improve on their conversational, writing and speaking skills to which I've done so for many students varying in ages and profession. -Depending on your level you will learn and improve your English Grammar in speaking and writing. You will learn how to properly converse in the English language. You will learn how to structure and write academically. Whether it be beginner or intermediate level I will accommodate to your needs. Take 10 classes from me, and you will improve on any skill you have been wanting to perfect. You will be able to read and write in an academic manner and prepared for any conversational situation. I'm a discipline yet very friendly teacher. I am a university student which allows me to create a comfortable learning environment as I have done so for my peers. I can help you build confidence skills and English skill you're looking to improve upon at the same time. You will experience new and different ways that will help you learn English as well as learning about the English culture at the same time. I always begin my sessions by talking with my students informally as it creates a friendly environment. I make sure that my students do not experience a classroom setting. Rather it will be a peer friendly setting where we work together to help strengthen your weaknesses. If you need to cancel a class, please let me know and cancel the class 12 hours before it's start time. I shall do the same. If you decide to book a trial session with me please highlight what you want to gain from this experience so that we can work together. I will have other commitments from time to time and if so, I always make sure we reschedule our session and this is done in advance.
