Hello there! My name is Jean, and I’m originally from the United States. However, after I graduated from university I had decided to go traveling with no intentions of going back home. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures which is what I think encouraged me the most to take this leap into the unknown. I landed in Thailand where I attended an extremely intensive 140h TEFL program and immediately got hooked on teaching. I taught kids from ages 4-18 and adults from 19-50 years of age in both classroom and online. I can safely say that I have a well-rounded background in teaching English whether it is IELTS, TOEFL or just conversational practice lessons like free-talks or topic-based discussions, I'm the teacher for you. I approach each student in a different manner because no person is the same. Being flexible, friendly and open-minded is key to conducting any lesson. Additionally, having a good understanding of what a student is aiming to achieve from his/her English lessons from the very beginning is vital in order to set up goals to work towards to reach maximum English proficiency.
