Unexpectedly Wonderful English Journey

Richard 真的是我遇過最有系統、最有耐心的老師！我上了他二十幾堂課，完全沒有看過他疲倦、敷衍或心不在焉的時刻。每一次上課他都保持專注、放鬆又穩定的節奏，讓人很快就能進入狀況，也覺得時間過得特別快。
一開始我只打算請老師協助雅思口說，結果第一堂課就被驚艷到。老師給的口說架構非常清楚，可以馬上套用，又不會變模板味很重。練習時他會根據我說的內容立刻給出更自然、更高級的詞彙替換，真的超受用！後來我也上了寫作課，原本以為老師可能會變得比較嚴肅，結果完全沒有！課堂一樣輕鬆又扎實。老師的邏輯清楚到不行，示範都超具體，照他的架構寫真的會變得變得很能掌握的感覺。
另外，Richard 的耐心真的要大大稱讚。我自己也是老師，所以非常清楚學生緊張、犯錯、不知道怎麼講時是多麼考驗人的耐性。Richard 不但從不皺眉，還會利用非常多方法讓我放鬆、轉移注意力。所以我在課堂上常常緊張，但不會害怕，也不會因為講錯而崩潰。更重要的是，老師的人超級有趣！他和太太養了七隻超可愛的貓，偶爾會突然跳到鏡頭前客串，瞬間把整堂課變得療癒十倍。可以說是學英文兼吸貓哈哈哈。因為他的課真的太有料，上完如果沒有複習反而會有罪惡感，會覺得天啊，老師這麼用心，我怎麼可以不練習。
即便雅思以達到我的目標分數了，還是想持續向Richard學習、加強自己的語言能力。如果你在找一位既專業又有趣、能陪你練習、又能有效提升雅思技巧的老師，真的強烈推薦 Richard。來上他的課絕對不會後悔！

Richard is honestly the most organised and patient teachers I’ve ever met. I’ve taken more than twenty lessons with him, and he never looked tired or unmotivated. He always keeps a calm, steady pace, which makes it really easy to focus, and the time in his lessons always flies by.
At first, I only wanted help with IELTS Speaking, but I was impressed from the very first lesson. His speaking structure is so clear and easy to follow, and it never feels like a strict template. When I practise, he always gives me better and more advanced words based on what I say. That part is super helpful!
Later, I also took Writing lessons. I thought he might be stricter in writing classes, but actually the lessons stayed relaxed but still very solid. His logic is extremely clear, and his demonstrations are very concrete. Once you follow his structure, writing feels much easier to control.
I also want to highlight how patient he is. I’m a teacher myself, so I really understand how difficult it is to stay patient when students get nervous or make mistakes. But Richard never gets annoyed. He always finds different ways to help me relax and distract my anxiety. I get nervous a lot in class, but I never feel scared or pressured, and I don’t panic even when I say something wrong.
And he’s also a very fun person! He and his wife have seven adorable cats, and sometimes they show up in the lesson. It’s unbelievably cute and makes the whole class feel extra warm and relaxing. It feels like learning English while getting cat therapy, haha.
His lessons are so full of good content that I actually feel guilty if I don’t review. I’ll think, “He put in so much effort, how can I not practise?”
Even though I’ve reached my IELTS target, I still want to keep learning with Richard and keep getting better at English.
